Smiling is infectious
I know that sometimes it feels as though there is nothing to smile about but it has been recently medically proven to improve your heath. So I thought I would share this delightful anonymous poem, in the hope that it would bring a smile to your lips and that you would pass it on to those you love.
I have found that one of the advantages of getting older is that one can smile at people without them misinterpreting the meaning. So, as it suggests, I am passing this smile on to you.

Smiling is infectious,
you catch it like the flu,
When someone smiled at me today,
I started smiling too.
I passed around the corner
and someone saw my grin.
When he smiled I realized
I'd passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile,
then I realized its worth.
A single smile, just like mine
could travel round the earth.
So, if you feel a smile begin,
don't leave it undetected.
Let's start an epidemic quick,
and get the world infected!
One way to get your family to smile is to tell them about your school days. I was always being told I 'could do better'!
